Cigarette trash is the most prevalent form of waste found on beaches and public spaces, and its also one of the most harmful. We’ve designed a 3D-printed solution to tackle cigarette butt waste in public spaces like beaches, cafes, and restaurants. Our innovative container:
- Attaches seamlessly to poles such as umbrellas or stands, making it versatile and easy to install.
- Features a secure slot for a disposable cup usable for disposing of cigarette butts and other trash easily
- Made so the public can easily throw away their trash to reduce pollution in beaches and public spaces

With your support, we will:
- Scale production and distribute these 3D-printed containers to public spaces worldwide, helping reduce cigarette litter in cafes, restaurants, beaches, and other high-traffic areas.
- Partner with local businesses to implement the containers and educate communities on proper waste disposal, while continuing to refine the design for maximum impact.
- Fund more environmental projects in the future, expanding our efforts to tackle waste and trash in beaches and the entire planet.
What are the effects of this waste?
Cigarette waste on beaches poses significant environmental and health threats. Cigarette butts, the most common type of litter, contain toxic chemicals like arsenic and lead, which leach into the sand and water, harming marine life and ecosystems. They are non-biodegradable, breaking into microplastics that persist in the environment and are ingested by wildlife. Additionally, cigarette litter affects beach aesthetics, deterring tourism and recreation. Our project aims to reduce this waste by raising awareness of this issue and producing our innovative container where people can put their waste. Together, we can clean this harmful waste from our beaches.
